Hotel Palazzo Guadagni is located in a historical palace from 1505 in Santo Spirito square, in the Oltrarno district, just few steps away from the Pitti Palace, the Boboli Gadens and Ponte Vecchio.
Santo Spirito square, with its Rainassaince Church designed by Brunelleschi, is one of the most charming and authentic areas of the historic centre of Florence. This beautiful Church houses a splendid wooden cruxfix carved by a young Michelangelo.
The Oltrarno, historical neighbourhood of Florence, is known for its elegant antique shops, old artisan workshops and typical local markets.
The magnificent Loggia gives its particularity to Palazzo Guadagni and offers stunning views over the Santo Spirito square and Church, the Boboli Gardens and the Tower of Bellosguardo.

By train
By taxi, from Santa Maria Novella train station, it takes about 5 minutes to reach the Hotel. The cost is €10 plus a €1 handling fee per piece of luggage. Alternatively, you can take the bus C3-C4 and get off at Santo Spirito stop – approx. 10 minutes. From the bus stop to the hotel, located at 9 Santo Spirito square, it takes about a 5 minute walk.
By plane
From the airport of Florence, you can reach the Hotel by taxi in 20 minutes at the cost of approx. €25. By the new Tramway, it takes about 20 minutes to get to Santa Maria Novella station and it costs €1.5 per person. Then see the directions in the “By Train” section.
By car
From the Highway of the Sun A1, coming either from Bologna or Rome, take the Firenze Impruneta Exit and continue towards the centre of Florence, until you get to Porta Romana. Pass the Gate, then drive freely through the camera control into the LTZ (Limited Traffic Zone) as a guest of the Hotel (please notify the reception desk when checking in). Continue along Via Romana for 700 metres, on your right you will find the entrance for Boboli Gardens ( Giardini di Boboli), on your left you can take Via Santa Maria or Via del Campuccio, then the first on your right (Via delle Caldaie) will get you in Santo Spirito square. As an alternative, access the Piazza from Via S. Agostino. The hotel is located at 9 Santo Spirito square. As guests of the Hotel, you can park at the nearby garage at the average price of €25-32 per day.
